About

I am a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead with over 11 years' experience designing high-performance backend systems and cloud infrastructure. Currently, I specialize in the reliability, evaluation, and scaling of production-ready AI agent architectures.

At JPMorgan Chase & Co., I pioneered the adoption of modular AI agent patterns, context engineering, and deterministic evaluation frameworks, with evals running in CI/CD as a release gate, to build enterprise-grade workflows. Most recently, I led a cross-functional squad of 5+ engineers alongside security and compliance stakeholders to deliver GCP Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Just-In-Time (JIT) access into production, closing a firm-wide security mandate. My background blends deep financial systems experience (scaling real-time risk engines and data pipelines at Barclays and JPMorgan) with modern AI engineering practices, focused on security, compliance, and developer enablement.

Outside of professional systems engineering, I build open-source automation tools, competitively game, and golf.

Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead

JPMorgan Chase & Co.
  • Led a cross-functional squad of 5+ engineers, security, and compliance stakeholders to deliver GCP and Azure Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Just-In-Time (JIT) access for Platform SRE teams globally, closing a firm-wide cloud security audit requirement.
  • Architected a global AWS Region Enablement framework using Terraform, cutting full region-enablement timelines from roughly 9 months to 2 months (a 72% reduction) and replacing hand-picked, per-environment dependencies with a single centrally managed configuration.
  • Built a Go/Python CLI adopted globally across engineering teams as the standard way to provision private cloud resources, replacing manual UI-driven workflows.
  • Pioneered a governance framework — evals, guardrails, deterministic checkpoints — for AI agents, skills, and workflows, now the central governance layer for a 300-person engineering organization; drove direct adoption of the underlying workflow across a ~25-person team, including demo sessions for the wider Cloud Infrastructure org.
  • Implemented Azure Privileged Access Management (PAM) for secure SRE workflows, escalating and resolving production defects directly with Microsoft TAMs to reach go-live.

Software Engineer (Equities Market Risk)

JPMorgan Chase & Co.
  • Rescued and modernized a stale C#/.NET market risk platform that trading desks still relied on daily — fixing production defects, onboarding new portfolios, and migrating it off physical servers onto AWS (compute, storage, and UI hosting).
  • Served all Equities trading desks, calculating projected market risk across many client portfolios; independently verified and challenged Greeks, VaR, exposure, and correlation calculations nearly weekly — work typically owned by middle office and quant teams.
  • Provided L3 production support for the platform, resolving 200-300 support tickets over the course of the role.

Technical Architect & Co-Founder

Stealth Startup (Asset Management)

Designed the high-level architecture and MVP for a sustainability-focused digital asset management platform. Established cloud-native infrastructure foundations including transactional storage, backend APIs, and isolated compute for portfolio valuation and risk modeling.

Career Break

Sabbatical

Nine months of extended travel through Germany, Thailand, and South Korea.

Feb 2016 — Apr 2019

Backend Developer (Market Risk)

Barclays Investment Bank
  • Built a centralized C# deployment tool that replaced hand-picked, per-environment dependency configuration with a single declarative definition — deployable and rerunnable across 60+ distinct environments.
  • Engineered backend REST services for CCAR risk reporting and big-data ingestion pipelines into Hadoop clusters, supporting intraday risk runs across all major asset classes (ex-equities) across many curves, scenarios, and timelines.
  • Contributed to a spin-off stress-testing risk platform modeling 2008-crash-style market scenarios with large market-data swings, extending the firm's stress-testing risk calculation capability.
Sep 2014 — Feb 2016

Graduate Software Developer

Barclays Investment Bank
  • Enriched downstream trade data within a databases team, appending fields missing from upstream systems to close a gap that could otherwise let unauthorized trading go undetected.
  • Implemented Kerberos-based authentication in Java/Maven applications and authored SQL procedures for high-volume trade validation, reducing booking discrepancies.
